Business Chicks released its White Paper on "Women and Leadership" earlier this week and it is disappointing to see the 5 key challenges still are:
1. Being provided with opportunities for promotion and development
2. Dealing with unconscious (or conscious) bias
3. Multiple role conflict, encompassing parental and other carer responsibilities
4. Women’s own mindset (e.g. internalised feelings of self-doubt, lacking confidence to challenge the status quo)
5. Lack of support by other women in business
Leaders (in particular men) have to keep on addressing these issues to ensure we move forward.
